More changes to the Arctic Cat ATV lineup. Arctic Cat has added a new variation to the DVX ATV family, the DVX 300 ATV. Recognizing the need for an affordable, mid-sized, easy to ride, youth sport quad, Arctic Cat has designed and released the new DVX300.

More powerful than the DVX250, the new DVX300 features a 270cc, SOHC, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine that includes a backup fan for more consistent and stable cooling.

The rear wheels of the DVX300 ATV are fed through a fully automatic CVT transmission with high, forward and reverse gears that are easy to use.

The 300 was also produced for the 2010, 2012, 2013, 2014, and 2015 model years. This is a great addition to the youth sport quad environment.

In 2013, the DVX300 offers up one the features that makes an ATV into a real ATV, and that is removable fenders. You know you've got a fun day ahead when you can decide just how dirty or muddy you would like to get.

It's about having full control over your experience. They are also stocking them with Kenda Klaw XCF tires which are a great all-around cross country thread, ideal for mud slinging as well.

The DVX300 is good for its size. There's nothing wrong with these machines at all, what's important is the engine displacement. I would only buy one if I were looking for this size engine. You can't expect a DVX 300 to perform like a 450 so if you do you'll be disappointed. Keep that in mind when you're buying one.

First, the electrical issues: Some riders have reported electrical problems, such as issues with the battery, wiring, starter, cdi, and cable connections, and a few electronic components. Transmission Problems... There have been reports of DVX-300 transmission-related issues, including difficulties with shifting gears and transmission failures. These issues can affect the smooth operation of the ATV and may require costly repairs.

Suspension and Steering Issues... There have been complaints about the durability and performance of DVX-300 suspension and steering components. Issues such as worn bushings, loose steering, and shock absorber failures have been reported. Were these weak links made in China? Who knows...

Quality Control... Some riders have expressed concerns about the overall build quality and reliability of certain Arctic Cat ATV models including the DVX-300. Complaints include poor fit and finish, loose components, and frequent need for repairs. I don't see this as being a common problem so it would be nice to see some examples of the components in question.

Plastic Body Panels... There have been complaints about the durability of the DVX-300 plastic body panels. Riders have reported that the panels can crack or break easily, especially under rough riding conditions. This is common if you're going to beat the heck out of any ATV, not only the DVX-300.

Fuel System Issues... Some Arctic Cat ATV models have experienced fuel system problems, including fuel pump failures and issues with fuel delivery, leading to poor engine performance or stalling. I know there are plenty of content Arctic Cat owners so I would expect some of these Arctic Cat complaints are even that common.


The DVX 300 was notably present in Arctic Cat's lineup during the early 2010's. From available information, it appears that the DVX 300 was produced until around 2015. After that, Arctic Cat seemed to phase out this particular model in favor of other ATV's and continued to evolve its product lineup
